SkoolPal and the SkoolPal Chrome extension · operated by Conclusive Digital · last updated October 30, 2026
SkoolPal lets you search and ask questions about online courses you are enrolled in. This policy explains what the SkoolPal extension and the SkoolPal service collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What the extension collects, and only when you ask it to
Nothing is collected in the background. When you click Capture course (or Capture this lesson) on a course page, the extension reads that course, using your existing login to the course site, and sends to your SkoolPal library:
- the course outline: course, module and lesson titles, lesson page addresses, the creator's name;
- each lesson's captions (the text of what is said in its videos) where the video host provides them, the written lesson text, the links in it, and the addresses of images in it;
- if you tick Index course materials: the lesson attachments (PDFs, documents, slides) so they can be searched;
- if you click Capture creator & pinned posts in a Skool community: posts by the community's owner and pinned posts, and the owner's replies to comments. Other members' posts and names are not captured; when the owner answers a member, the member's comment is kept without their name;
- for YouTube videos you capture: the transcript YouTube shows under the video, read in a background tab that is closed afterwards, and the video's description;
- your SkoolPal access key, sent with each request so captures go to your own library. When you sign in (email link or Google, through our sign-in provider Clerk), we keep your email address and name to identify your account.
The extension does not read other tabs, your browsing history, passwords, cookies, form data, or pages you have not asked it to capture. It does not download or upload course videos.
What the SkoolPal service stores
- The course content above, so you can search it and ask questions about it.
- Your questions, the answers, and feedback you give on answers (thumbs up/down and notes), so conversations can continue and answers can be improved.
- Text read from images in lessons and from slides shown in videos, when that feature is on.
- For a lesson whose video host provides no captions, the service can transcribe the lesson's audio from the video address the course site gives; the media file is deleted right after.
How it is used
Only to provide SkoolPal to you: search, answers with citations to the exact lesson, summaries and notes of your courses, and access from AI assistants you connect (for example Claude or ChatGPT through the SkoolPal connector). To write answers, notes and image descriptions, the relevant excerpts are sent to an AI model provider (Anthropic or OpenAI) under their API terms, which do not allow them to train on that data. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, share it with data brokers, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
People at SkoolPal do not read your captured courses or conversations, except when you ask us to (for example to investigate a wrong answer you reported), when needed for security or abuse investigations, or when required by law.
Limited Use
The use of information received from the SkoolPal extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security
All traffic between the extension and SkoolPal uses HTTPS. Your library is only available with your access key. Course attachments and lesson files are never handed out to anyone else, including other SkoolPal users.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your library is kept while your account is active. You can remove a capture from the extension at any time; to delete your whole library and account, contact us and we delete it within 30 days.
